With the blessings of Sri Sri Thakur, Sri Sri Maa, and Swamiji, the Foundation Day Celebrations of Ramakrishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission, Mumbai—comprising the Annual Public Celebration, Spiritual Retreat, Mantra Diksha Ceremony, and Homa—were held successfully from 19th to 26th April 2026. A brief report is as follows:

The Annual Public Celebration was held on the 24th and 25th of April, followed by a Spiritual Retreat on the 26th. Revered Srimat Swami Vimalatmanandaji Maharaj, Vice-President, Ramakrishna Math & Ramakrishna Mission, Belur Math, graciously blessed the occasion with his august presence. Swami Vishnupadananda, Swami Tattwarupananda, Swami Chetanatmananda, Swami Shrikantananda, Swami Aryananda and Swami Buddhananda were the distinguished guests and delivered inspiring talks befitting the occasion. Bhajans were rendered by Pt. Dattatraya Velankar and other monks of the Mumbai centre. Some devotees also shared their memories and reflections. The programme was attended by around 400 devotees on each day and prasad were distributed to all present. 

On the 18th of April, the Mantra Diksha Ceremony was held, during which a total of 74 spiritual aspirants were initiated by Revered Srimat Swami Vimalatmanandaji Maharaj.

On 19th April, coinciding with Akshaya Tritiya and the Foundation Day of the Mumbai centre, a special puja was organized. On this auspicious day, Revered Srimat Swami Vimalatmanandaji Maharaj conveyed their benediction to the assembled devotees in the Main Temple. around 300 devotees attended the puja and prasad were distributed to all present

The entire celebration was a resounding success, uniting devotees from various backgrounds in a spirit of devotion, service, and spiritual upliftment.
