On Tuesday, 21st April 2026, the auspicious day of Adi Shankaracharya Jayanti, the Sadhu Niwas Building at Sri Ramakrishna Sarada Ashrama, Nashik, proposed to be a sub-centre of Ramakrishna Mission, Mumbai, (to be known as Ramakrishna Mission, Nashik) was formally inaugurated and consecrated by installing the sacred photographs of the Holy Trio at the newly established shrine in the building, with due solemnity and spiritual fervour.
The programme commenced at 8:00 am with a Parikrama of the building, carrying the sacred photographs of Sri Ramakrishna, Holy Mother Sri Sarada Devi, Swami Vivekananda, and Sri Adi Shankaracharya, accompanied by Vedic chanting and devotional bhajans. This was followed by the unveiling of the commemorative plaque and entry into the Prayer Hall where the installation of the sacred photographs of the Holy Trio was performed, by Revered Srimat Swami Vimalatmanandaji Maharaj. The Vishesh Puja, Havan, Bhog offering, and Bhog Arati were conducted in a devotional atmosphere, followed by bhajans and chanting of Ramakrishna Sharanam.
A public meeting was held thereafter. Swami Atmashraddhananda delivered the welcome address, followed by short addresses by Revered Swami Vishnupadanandaji, Revered Swami Sarvalokanandaji, Revered Swami Shrikantanandaji and several other brother monks. Shri Khushalchandra Poddar (President, Sri Ramakrishna Sarada Ashrama, Nashik) also addressed the gathering. The programme concluded with the benediction by Revered Srimat Swami Vimalatmanandaji Maharaj and a vote of thanks by Swami Buddharupananda.
Approximately 375 devotees and 25 brother monks attended the function and participated with deep devotion. Prasad was served to all.
