On Akshaya Tritiya, 19th April 2026, the Foundation Day of the Mumbai Centre was observed with special puja and homa. Revered Vice-President conveyed blessings to the assembled devotees in the Main Temple. Prasadi garlands were offered to Revered Srimat Swami Vimalatmanandaji Maharaj, Swami Satyadevanandaji, and Swami Atmashraddhananda. Later, a small procession of monks & devotees was held from the Universal Temple to the Holy Mother’s Temple, then to the Mission Office, and back. At the Mission Office, Swami Atmashraddhananda formally signed the acceptance of charge of Mumbai centre in the presence of Revered Srimat Swami Vimalatmanandaji Maharaj, Revered Swami Satyadevanandaji, and other brother monks. Around 300 devotees participated, and prasad was distributed to all.

 

The short report of the Transition of Grace (Handing over ceremony) is as follows:

On the same day, the Handing Over Ceremony (Transition of Grace) was held at the Vivekananda Auditorium in the holy presence of Revered Srimat Swami Vimalatmanandaji Maharaj. The programme included Vedic chanting, bhajans by Swami Kripaghananda (Ramakrishna Math, Pune), and a short video on Swami Satyadevanandaji’s services in Mumbai. Revered Swami Satyadevanandaji gave the welcome address, followed by addresses from Revered Swami Vishnupadanandaji (Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar), Revered Swami Shrikantanandaji (Ramakrishna Math, Pune), and Swami Atmashraddhananda. Several Monks and devotees also shared their personal experiences and memories associated with Swami Satyadevanandaji. Revered Srimat Swami Vimalatmanandaji Maharaj delivered the benedictory address. About 250 devotees attended the function, and prasad was served to all present.
