With the blessings of Sri Sri Thakur, Sri Sri Maa, and Swamiji, the Foundation Day Celebrations of Ramakrishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission, Mumbai—comprising the Annual Public Celebration, Spiritual Retreat, Mantra Diksha Ceremony, and Special Chandi Homa—were held successfully from 25th to 30th April 2025. A brief report is as follows:

 

The Annual Public Celebration was held on the 25th and 26th of April, followed by a Spiritual Retreat on the 27th. His Holiness Most Revered Srimat Swami Gautamanandaji Maharaj graciously blessed the occasion with his august presence. Swami Vishnupadananda, Swami Tattwarupananda, Swami Raghavendrananda, Swami Shrikantananda and Swami Buddhananda were the distinguished guests and delivered inspiring talks befitting the occasion. Bhajans were rendered by Swami Aparokshananda, Swami Kripaghanananda, Shri Bishwajyoti Bhattacharya, and other monks of the Mumbai centre. Some devotees also shared their heartfelt memories and reflections. The programme was attended by around 500 devotees on each day and prasad were distributed to all present. Moreover, a book titled “Awakening the Nation – Swami Vivekananda’s Vision of India”, published by Illumine Knowledge Resources, was released through the Holy Hands of Most Revered President Maharaj on Saturday, 26th April 2025.

 

On the 28th and 29th of April, the Mantra Diksha Ceremony was held, during which a total of 151 spiritual aspirants were initiated by His Holiness Most Revered Srimat Swami Gautamanandaji Maharaj.

 

On 30th April, coinciding with Akshaya Tritiya and the Foundation Day of the Mumbai centre, a special puja was organized. A Chandi Homa was performed by Swami Natarajananda. On this auspicious day, Most Revered President Maharaj conveyed their benediction to the assembled devotees in the Main Temple. around 300 devotees attended the puja and prasad were distributed to all present

 

The entire celebration was a resounding success, uniting devotees from various backgrounds in a spirit of devotion, service, and spiritual upliftment.
